You have enjoyed messenger until one day when everything started to move very slowly on your computer. The main reason for this behavior is the fact that yahoo messenger bombards you with adds. Thats right, Yahoo wants more money and advertising is a good bet so it uses your computer resources to frenetically display all kind of adds in the lower part of the messengers window.
Fortunately for you, there is a solution:
DISABLE Yahoo advertising server !
Instructions are very simple, you need to edit a file with a word processor, Notepad is enough:
1. Open a file editor (notepad) as an administrator
2. Locate and load this file:
C:/Windows/system32/drivers/etc/hosts
3. Add the following line at the end of the text file:
127.0.0.1 insider.msg.yahoo.com
And you are done, what you get is a slim and ready to use, faster ymessenger.
