Fire Destroys Two Houses Overnight On Allegheny Avenue In Emporium

***WORKING FIRE*** Just before 1am, Emporium Fire Department was dispatched to East Allegheny Avenue for a Fire in a multi-residential building. When units arrived, they were faced with a well-advanced fire which quickly spread to a neighboring house. Chief 14 called for a third alarm, bringing the Squad and Rescue from Port Allegany to the scene as well as other neighboring departments. Both companies from PAFD were assigned to assist with the defensive fire attack and operated for about several hours before returning to service.
